Today I'm going to show you how to create a webinar transcript.

To do this, we're going to use Otter AI.

It's an AI powered tool that converts your video or audio into text.

Let's jump in.

First head over to Otter AI and sign up or log into your account.

They also have a freemium version that you can use Once you are logged in.

On the top right corner you will see the import button.

Click on it, then click on Browse files, select your webinar.

Open it.

Otter AI will now process your webinar.

The time this takes depends on the length of your recording, of course, but it usually takes just a few minutes, even for an hour long webinars.

So once it's done, you can click on the Go to transcript button here on the right side As you can see, Otter AI has converted the entire webinar into text.

And on the right side, you have the AI chat AI assistant.

You can use it to ask questions about the transcript.

It will search through your transcript and give you targeted answers.

Once you are happy with your transcript, you can export it.

To do so, click on these three dots, then export.

You can choose the format you want and click export.

Here you go.

Now you have the exported file.

Now, I also want to show you an alternative approach that might save you even more time.

It's also possible to get your entire webinar's transcript directly from your webinar platform.

For my example, I'm using contrast to run my webinars and I'm going to show you how easy it is to get my webinar transcript.

To get the transcript of my webinar, I'm going to go to the videos on contrast where I have all the replays of my previous webinars.

I'm going to click on the one that I want.

So I will select the first one for now.

Then at the very end you will see the transcript button and the download button on the right side.

So I click download.

And there it is.

A beautifully formatted transcript of our entire webinar, ready to share, publish or repurpose however you want.

In our next video, we'll dive deep into how you can use AI to turn your webinar transcript into a blog article.

Common problems and solutions

Do I need a paid Otter AI account to transcribe my webinar?

No, Otter AI offers a freemium version that you can use to transcribe your webinars without paying for a subscription.

Is there a faster way to get transcripts than uploading to Otter AI?

Yes, many webinar platforms like Contrast offer built-in transcript downloads directly from your webinar replays, which can save you time.

What can I do with my webinar transcript once I have it?

Yes. The same ChatGPT project setup works for podcast transcripts, recorded interviews, conference talk transcripts, or any other long-form content you want to repurpose.

How do I stop it from inventing statistics that weren't actually in the webinar?

You can share it with attendees, publish it on your website, or repurpose it into other content formats like blog articles using AI tools.
