Common problems and solutions
Why would I manually create a Marketing Event instead of using an integration?
If your webinar or event tool doesn't have a native HubSpot integration, manually creating an event lets you still get all the CRM benefits — tracking attendance, using data in workflows, and giving your sales team visibility — you'll just need to add registrants and attendees yourself.
How do I add registrants and attendees to a manually created event?
After creating the event, you can add contacts individually by searching for them inside the event record. You'll set each contact's status as registered, attended, or no-show.
Can I still use manually created events in workflows and segments?
Yes. Once contacts are associated with the event and have a status assigned, that data works exactly the same as any other Marketing Event — you can filter segments, trigger workflows, and include it in lead scoring.
Is there a faster way to add a large list of attendees manually?
If you have a big list, the most practical option is to import contacts via HubSpot's standard contact import and then use a workflow or list to associate them with the event. It's a few more steps, but beats adding people one by one.
What webinar platforms integrate with HubSpot Marketing Events?
Please be sure to check your webinar platform's help articles to understand whether they integrate with Marketing Events. If you're looking for a webinar platform that integrated with HubSpot, you should check out Contrast. It's the top rated webinar platform on the HubSpot Marketplace and also used by HubSpot.
