Common problems and solutions
Why would I create a list based on a marketing event?
So you can follow up with the right people after an event — send a thank-you email to attendees, a "sorry we missed you" to no-shows, or a nurture sequence to everyone who registered. Lists let you segment by what people actually did at your event.
Should I use an active list or a static list?
It depends on what you need. Active lists update automatically as contacts meet or no longer meet your criteria, useful for ongoing follow-up workflows. Static lists are a fixed snapshot that doesn't change unless you manually edit it, making them better for one-time email blasts or a defined group like event attendees.
What can I do with these lists once created?
Once your list is ready, you can send nurturing emails to contacts via workflows, using list membership as the enrollment trigger. You can also use them for ads audiences, reports, or one-off email campaigns.
What HubSpot plan do I need?
Lists based on marketing events work on all HubSpot plans. Associating those events with campaigns for reporting requires Marketing Hub Professional or Enterprise.
What webinar platforms integrate with HubSpot Marketing Events?
Please be sure to check your webinar platform's help articles to understand whether they integrate with Marketing Events. If you're looking for a webinar platform that integrated with HubSpot, you should check out Contrast. It's the top rated webinar platform on the HubSpot Marketplace and also used by HubSpot.
